John Alpeter is an aerospace consulting professional with significant background in civil and military aviation. With 18 years of experience working with air traffic coordination demands and processes, he is an expert on a full spectrum of FAA airspace issues to include certification and navigation requirements for operations in the U.S. flight management system.
As a former Air Force aviator, John served on 10 deployments in support of Operations in Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq. He has nearly 1000 combat hours in the MC-130H, C-130E, EC-130E, and EC-130H and is highly skilled in strategic planning, systems operations, and technologies integration. John was also an instructor pilot in the C-130 and a certified Aviation Safety Investigator.
John was a corporate pilot for NetJets Aviation flying the Citation X. He is currently a pilot for Southwest Airlines based out of Chicago Midway. He has over 5500+ total flight hours and is qualified as an international pilot with type ratings in the Citation X and B737.
He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy with a Bachelors of Science in Political Science and has a Master’s Degree in International Relations from Troy State University.
